irregular foreigner reported in Latina

Yesterday afternoon, the Latina Flying Squad intervened to stop a man of foreign origin, illegal on Italian territory, responsible for an attack that occurred outside a commercial business.

Details of the accident

The alarm was raised by a store employee. Once on site, the officers found the attacker in an apparently calm state. Eyewitnesses reported that the man had first punched another individual for trivial reasons, and then attempted to attack a woman with a chair, without managing to seriously injure her.

Identification and precedents

Taken to the Latina Police Headquarters, the man, already known to the police due to similar precedents, was identified and reported for the crime of battery.

Irregularities in the territory and repatriation

Further investigations revealed that the man did not have valid documents for staying in Italy. The Immigration Office therefore started the procedures for his transfer to the detention center for repatriation in Bari. Yesterday evening, the subject was accompanied to Bari by agents, where he will remain until the procedures for his repatriation in country of origin.

Collaboration between law enforcement agencies

This result is the result of the collaboration between the Flying Squad and the Latina Immigration Office. The joint commitment of the police forces aims to combat the irregular presence of foreigners in the territory, guaranteeing security and public order.
