This year the Soliera Fair will start Friday 21 June, on the day of the solstice, of the handover between spring and summer. And it will end Monday 24 June on the day of Saint John the Baptist, patron saint of Soliera. The evening events in Piazza Lusvardi will be inaugurated by NSMGA, or Non We Mica Gli Americani, the longest-running and most successful cover band of Vasco Rossi who is lighting up San Siro in Milan these days. To conclude the Fair, on Monday 24 May, an entire day dedicated to sports, closed with a flourish – fingers crossed – with Italy-Croatia on the big screen, a decisive match for our national team’s group at the European Football Championships.

In the middle the usual feast of balsamic tortellone of Soliera and events, between the games of the past proposed by the Scombussolo and the entertainment of the Drag Queen show by Madame Yoyo, between the Neapolitan karaoke and the many street artists with their original and cheerful shows: the Circus Pacco Friday 21st in the Don Ugo Sitti square, the Circus in Puà the next day, and again Burn&Brain Sunday 23 June. Ingenious shows that bring the magic of the circus to life according to a contemporary sensibility, without animals in cages.

A look at the main events in Piazza Lusvardi. Said of the opening evening under the sign of the Commander, on Saturday 22 June at 9.30 pm he will take the stage Charles Hamletan amazing Sicilian comedian who is also a musician and singer-songwriter, while on Sunday 23 June he will return to Soliera Andrea Barbi with a special edition of his entertaining “Mo Pensa Te Live Show”.

Numerous stands and banquets animated by the town’s associations and scattered between Piazza Fratelli Sassi, Piazza Repubblica, Via Garibaldi, Via IV Novembre, Via Nenni and Via dei Mille, while the Locanda del Tortellone, promoted by the Compagnia Balsamica di Soliera, will find space in via Marconi, near the park of the Nuovo Cinema Teatro Italia. Don’t miss the tortellone tastings for just four euros.

Historic cars will be exhibited along via Roma by the Historic Motor Club, while vintage Vespas and motorbikes can be admired in via Rimembranze, curated by the Moto Club Oca Bigia 2. From 15 to 24 June the Grand Luna Park in the area of ​​via Mazzini and the appointment in the Don Ugo Sitti square with the choral concert “Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Soliera. From the sacred to the profane”.

A particular thought will go to the memory of the master Guido Malagoliwho recently passed away, whose posthumous book “Seduti, composi e zitti” will be presented on Sunday 23 June at 4pm in Castello Campori.
