Abruzzo and its food and wine excellences land in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, where they will be protagonists until Monday 17 June for the ninth dedication of Estimar, the international festival of Spanish and Italian cinema.

An important international showcase not only for film promotion, in the presence of authors, producers, distributors, but also for the agri-food of the two countries, with the participation of starred chefs, international buyers, experts and sector journalists.

Promoting the initiative is the Agriculture Department chaired by the vice-president of the Region, Emanuele Imprudente.

“We confirm and strengthen a presence – states Imprudente – which has already brought very positive results last year within the path of recognition of the Abruzzo brand, consequently acting as a driving force for Abruzzo companies and brands, which have had an opportunity unique opportunity to present and promote their food and wine excellences in a highly prestigious international context. Furthermore, visibility is also strengthened by a massive advertising campaign, which will involve the main Italian and Spanish television broadcasters, such as RaiUno and RTVE, as well as a web promotion and the creation of thematic posters”.

Exceptional godmother of the Festival will once again be Gabriella Carlucci, originally from Sulmona, television presenter.

“The internationalization strategy already launched with success and commendable consistency in the past legislature continues incessantly – underlines Imprudente – and that of Palma de Mallorca, an important global tourist destination of the Balearic Islands, could only be confirmed as an obligatory stop, also by virtue of the format innovative of the festival with cinematographic moments alternating with culinary events that aim to promote the typical products of the two countries, with those of Abruzzo in the front row”.

The regional company for production activities (Arap) has collected expressions of interest from Abruzzo farms and producers to participate with their products in the Estimar Festival, favoring in particular wine, kebabs, cheeses, cured meats, truffles, oil and in any case any other product that represents the typical features of Abruzzo.
