The “Trieste Crossroads of Culture” initiative inaugurated

Today (Friday June 14th) the “Trieste Crossroads of Culture” initiative was inaugurated in Piazza Ponterosso, scheduled from 14 to the June 22nd in the areas of Piazza Ponterosso, via Bellini, via Cassa di Risparmio, Borgo Teresiano, Borgo Giuseppino, Borgo Franceschino, Porto Vecchio and Villa Revoltella.

The deputy mayor and councilor for economic policies was present at the inauguration Serena Tonel.

The Municipality of Trieste co-organizes the “Trieste Crossroads of Culture” event, promoted by Altamarea Eventi, with the collaboration of the Mittelnet Travel Agency, the media partnership of Radio Punto Zero and Trieste Cafè: now in its 13th edition, it consists of a tourist route -cultural between different peoples, folklore and beliefs. It will be characterized by guided tours, folk dances, walks, tastings of typical products and a market exhibition, with the involvement of the ethnic and religious communities of Trieste.

For the entire period of the event in fact between Ponterosso square and the banks of the Grand Canal will revive the ancient vestiges of the emporial Trieste, with the presence of numerous sellers of various product types. Here you can also taste dishes from different traditions, with 9.30am – 11.30pm, free entry.

New to this year’s edition are the visit to the Rosenfeld Spugnificio in Muggia and a lesson-concert by the Civic Wind Orchestra “G. Verdi” – City of Trieste. Also returning are the numerous guided tours of the Giuseppino and Franceschino villages, the city’s places of worship, Villa Revoltella and the artist’s house “Studio Psacaropulo”, the Porto Vecchio and in particular the Hydrodynamic Power Plant.
