The monthly surveys of the Excelsior Information System continue. The survey, carried out by
Unioncamere in agreement with the Ministry of Labour, focuses on the main characteristics
of revenue scheduled in June 2024, with a focus on employment trends for
the period June – August 2024.
As emerges from the elaborations of the Economic Information and Work Orientation Service
of the Riviere di Liguria Chamber of Commerce on Excelsior analysis data, are 2,480 (+ 50 units
compared to the same month of the previous year) the total revenue scheduled for the month of
June 2024 in the province of La Spezia (16,900 in Liguria and a total of 566,000 in Italy) and
5,490 revenue expected in the period June – August 2024 (+ 270 units compared to the same quarter
of 2023).
Analyzing the month of June in detail, we find that in the province of La Spezia in 20% of cases
the expected income will be stable, i.e. with a permanent or apprenticeship contract,
while 80% will be fixed-term (fixed-term contracts or other contracts with a predefined duration). The
expected revenues will be concentrated 78% in the service sector and 72% in businesses with
less than 50 employees. 9% will be allocated to managers, specialists and technicians, a share lower than
national average (14%) and in 47 cases out of 100 companies expect to have difficulty finding the
desired profiles. The revenue, for a share equal to 35%, will concern young people under 30 years of age
and for a share equal to 20%, companies plan to hire immigrant staff. 6% of
expected revenue will be allocated to graduate personnel and the three most requested professional figures
will concentrate 52% of the expected revenue. A share equal to 59% of revenue is requested
specific professional experience or in the same sector. Companies that plan to hire
will be equal to 23% of the total.
In the month of June the expected revenues in the main business sectors are: Accommodation services,
catering and tourism (820), Commerce (360), Personal services (340), Mechanical and
electronic (240), Support services for businesses and people (170).
