Saturday and Sunday, 15 and 16 June, signature collection days with banquets in Irpino provincial territory. At the banquets it will be possible to sign for the four referendums on work. “There are almost 600 thousand signatures collected throughout Italy by the CGIL, in Avellino – he declares Franco Fiordellisi, general secretary of the Chamber of Labor – we have reached around 4000, but we want many more signatures and we are working to ensure that there is the right knowledge of the questions in our territory too. The mobilization to inform and get people to sign doesn’t stop.”
And so this weekend the Avellino CGIL mobilizes and multiplies banquets throughout the province. Many meetings in the workplace in support of the referendum campaign are scheduled for the next few days and have already taken place.
“In addition to the numerous banquets, the collection of signatures continues also at the CGIL offices with the provincial certifiers – continues the secretary of the Irpinia CGIL –. The objective, as stated, is that in the weeks that remain after the delivery of signatures, an already broad consensus is further structured and as many adhesions as possible are gathered in support of the CGIL’s proposals to cancel some of the laws that have made the most precarious, poor and insecure world of work. Not only workers and workers sign, the support is transversal. In recent weeks, personalities from the world of culture, civil society, institutional representatives have also joined, while political representatives are still at large in our province, but we urge them not to miss the opportunity we provide to restore dignity to workers”.
