Rossini in Pesaro: sun and rain

A rich and eventful story, from the choice of Giuseppe Rossini from Lugo to move to the Adriatic city of Pesaro, to Gioachino’s childhood between Pesaro and Romagna, up to the fleeting passages and short stays in his homeland which saw Rossini as protagonist or spectator of the theater of city, not always welcomed with benevolence. Pesaro remained in Rossini’s heart until the time of writing his will and today his memory, his presence and his cultural power are more alive than ever, thanks also to the monuments dedicated to him and the buildings named after him which contributed to keep his memory alive.
