Salerno, “Buonissimi” returns: starred chefs in the field for research

Starred chefs and culinary professionals take to the field to finance research. An objective that is the basis of “Buonissimi”, the charity event created by the OPen OdV Association (Pediatric Oncology and Neuroblastoma), to raise funds for scientific research projects. The initiative, now in its sixth edition, will be held in Salerno on Monday 17 June (starting at 7.30 pm) at the Marina d’Arechi port.

Buonissimi 2024, thanks to the contribution that will come from the best culinary realities in the national territory, will finance the Editor project. Thanks to the funding that will arrive from the evening, in fact, Ceinge, the Institute of Advanced Biotechnology and the University of Naples Federico II will be able to carry out next generation sequencing and genomic editing to identify genetic risk factors as therapeutic targets for the treatment of pediatric tumors.

The president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, the mayor of Salerno, Enzo Napoli, the president of open OdV, Anna Maria Alfani, together with the organizers of the event Silvana Tortorella and Paola Pignataro, Agostino Gallozzi and Anna Cannavacciuolo, president of Marina D’Arechi, Mario Capasso, Associate Professor in Medical Genetics at the University of Naples Federico II, Achille Iolascon, Full Professor of Medical Genetics at the University of Naples “Federico II”, and the researcher Annalaura Montella who will be awarded the Franco Ricciardi prize.
