It continues on Saturday 15 June at the new time of 7pm Playlist Rossini. A year-long concert, a project created by the Rossini Opera Festival on the occasion of Pesaro, Italian Capital of Culture 2024.
Every Saturday the entire Rossini opera repertoire is performed with a special series of 39 concerts from the balcony of Gioachino Rossini’s birthplace, each dedicated to an opera by the composer from Pesaro, performed by former students of the Rossinian Academy “Alberto Zedda”.
This time extracts from the will be performed Barber of Sevillethe most popular opera in Rossini’s repertoire: buffo melodrama in two acts with a libretto by Cesare Sterbini performed for the first time at the Teatro Argentina in Rome on 20 February 1816.
The singers protagonists of the concert will be Anna-Doris Capitelli And Matteo Mancini, accompanied by the pianist Claudia Foresi.
Matteo Mancini will sing the Cavatina from Figaro «Make way for the factotum», while Anna-Doris Capitelli will play the Rosina Cavatina “A voice just now”Capitelli and Mancini will close the concert with the Rosina-Figaro duet «So I am… you don’t deceive me?».
The project is carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro, the Pescheria Foundation, the Rossini Foundation and the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra.
