Dear readers of CN24, good morning and welcome to weather bulletin of the province of Cuneo from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2024. The storm opportunities on the Granda are finally decreasing (at least for the moment), even if a disturbed front in action on the French side of the Alps will try to break through tomorrow morning, also affecting the Italian side of the Cozie. However, this will generate a lee shadow which should keep, together with that brought by the sea, almost the entire province dry, but not clear.
Today, Friday 14 June.Partly cloudy, very cloudy or overcast skies over the Upper Maritimes and Cozie, with precipitation between the ridges and the French side. In the afternoon, general increase in cloud cover, with a low probability of rain showers on the western foothills due to the convergence of southwest-northeast winds. Sea wind coming out of Liguria, strong at times at the mouth of the Bormida valley in the afternoon; little ventilation elsewhere. Stationary temperatures.
Saturday 15th. Very cloudy or overcast skies due to the cloudiness of the active front over the Alps. Rain on Cozie at times heavy, with little chance of surviving the downwind föhn jet. The route will still face north-east, so it is easier for everything to go towards the Turin area. Even large spaces of serene in the evening. Maximum temperatures are stationary, minimum temperatures are rising.
Sunday 16th.Between clouds and passing low clouds, it shouldn’t be a day of good weather, even if no precipitation is forecast. More space for the sun in the mountains, especially in Marittime and Cozie. Wind: a little low sea, which should not cross the boundaries of the Langhe during the launches. Roughly stationary temperatures.
The question of when a period of sunshine might arrive is asked to me very frequently. There is no definitive answer for now, because the sea is still relatively low in temperature and will therefore be able to generate maritime-coastal cloud cover at least for the next anticyclonic rise.
