LIVORNO. A bathing establishment in Livorno ended up in trouble after an inspection by the financial police. The bathroom – whose name was not communicated by the yellow flames – would have evaded over 250,000 euros due to missing receipts, but the company then joined the so-called “industrious repentance”, paying 180,000 to the tax authorities. «In particular – they explain from the provincial command – it emerged that the number of umbrellas and seasonal customers declared were evidently not adequate and clearly not in line with the actual and real potential of the establishment with over 200 umbrellas: they were declared until 50 percent less. Furthermore, over thirty failures to issue receipts and tax receipts for the rental of umbrellas and deckchairs were contested.”

As a result of the audit, an overall tax evasion of more than 250,000 euros between direct taxes (undeclared revenues) and VAT was contested. «In the face of the timely and widely motivated complaints of the yellow flames, the party in question therefore considered it preferable to adhere to the “special repentance”, a deflationary institution of the dispute which provides for the full payment of the evaded taxes, but with legal interest and sanctions in reduced measures . In this case, the economic operator in question has remedied his position by paying 180,000 euros to the tax authorities through payments with F24″.
