Pistoia, 14 June 2024 – Reports in real time and, ultimately, also within reach App. Everything is simpler and more cutting-edge thanks to the new analysis laboratory management software, unique for the entire central Tuscany local health authority. An important innovation. Starting with the next one June 17th in the San Jacopo Laboratory of Pistoia, Santissimi Cosma e Damiano of Pescia and Pacini of San Marcello-Piteglio, the new management system already active in the San Giuseppe laboratory of Empoli and Santo Stefano of Prato will be launched.
This activation – explains a note from the ASL Toscana Centro – is preparatory to achieving the national objective of integrating regional health records, i.e. the new electronic health record 2.0. which will give the possibility of using the information contained in your file (vaccinations, radiology reports, exemptions) from every clinic present in the national territory. The transition – also due to the complexity of the procedures – involved various professional figures coordinated by a specifically appointed steering committee for months. In this delicate start-up and commissioning phase, constant supervision has been activated by the professionals who have worked on the project in recent months. The diffusion of the new analysis laboratory management system throughout the company territory also represents a strategic element for full integration between hospital and local services; it is about the introduction of innovative digital technologies. The analysis laboratory, in fact, is the key element for the provision of the services requested by family doctors, clinics, hospital departments and emergency rooms.
The company – underlines the note – apologizes in advance if in the first days of activation there were longer waits at the sampling points and problems relating to the delivery of reports which will be attributable to the need to intervene to make up for critical issues that did not emerge in a first phase of analysis and on which the commitment to rapid resolution will be maximum.
The ASL remembers that further upon collection at the counter other methods remain valid. It is possible to request the collection online through the health file which can be consulted and printed from home by accessing the direct link of the Tuscany Region (https://fascicolosanitario.regione.toscana.it/) with an activated electronic health card or Spid credentials . Spid credentials are issued by one of the authorized parties called identity providers. The report can be viewed from home in real time by downloading the Toscana Salute App for free on your smartphone and tablet.
At the counter however, you can always request one reprinting of the report. In the Pistoia territorial area – concludes the ASL note – regarding the activity carried out in 2023, the analysis laboratories processed 5,874,782 tests of which 2,028,494 were internal and 3,846,288 external.
