Museums always open from 10am to 7pm: in the year of Pesaro 2024 the new administration led by the new mayor Andrea Biancani starts from culture. From Saturday 15 June the summer opening hours of the museums that can be visited with the Pesaro Capitale Card come into force which will offer an extension that embrace lunch time.

“The expansion of museum opening hours is a first strong impulse that we want to give in a strategic year like that of Pesaro 2024: underlines Biancani as soon as he took office. “It is a concrete sign that demonstrates the desire to best welcome temporary citizens to invite them to discover a city and an area full of beauty where people live better thanks also to the cultural offering.

“A city – underlines the Municipality – which strengthens its welcome thanks also to increasingly open museums. In the year as Capital, at the start of the summer season ‘marked’ by the start of the 60th International Film Festival, the new administration “is already working on some strong issues such as that of the use of cultural heritage, among which museums stand out, the symbol par excellence of the identity of a territory and a strong driving force of attraction”.

“A first objective has been achieved and represents a novelty, particularly requested by tourists and welcomed by the mayor Andrea Biancani with Daniele Vimini in the role of president of the Pescheria Foundation which supervises the museum management. From Saturday 15 June – reiterates the Municipality – the summer programming starts of Pesaro Musei (will be active until 15 September) which provides for a checkerboard opening of the individual museums, thus allowing an optimal distribution of visits even during lunch breaks, with the possibility of exploring the various structures throughout the day from 10am to 7pm”.

Evening openings are also planned (9-11pm) – on Tuesdays for Palazzo Mosca and Casa Rossini, on Wednesdays for the Oliveriano Archaeological Museum -, to allow residents and tourists to enjoy the cultural wonders of Pesaro even outside of traditional opening hours. To celebrate the Rossini Opera Festival, from 7 to 23 August Casa Rossini offers continuous opening hours 10am-7pm, even on Mondays. The new offer is also enriched with personalized openings on request, through the Pesaro Capitale Card, a tool for visiting the entire civic and diocesan museum circuit at special conditions.
