TREVISO – Bad weather in the Marche. It was another night of storms, heavy rain and wind that just passed between 12 and 13 June in the Treviso area, with 15 interventions by the firefighters concentrated between 10.30pm and 2am.

Bad weather on the Collalto winery

In Susegana, in Collalto winerylightning caused an explosion a centuries-old cedar of the courtyard. The plant which dates back to 1904, the year the winery was built, was shattered and part of its trunk was transformed into many small “splinters” which fell onto the roof of the winery and onto the Pontebbana road. Lightning created problems also with the electrical systems leaving the structure without power for some time and, also, the churches and annexed farmhouses where it has yet to be restored.

The other interventions

In Treviso and Paese, lightning caused gods damage to several homes going to hit the power line and sending the plants ko. In Silea, however, several branches fell on the road. In other areas of the Treviso area, gutters were also reported detached due to the very strong wind.
