Uil has already announced that it will take to the streets on June 17th for a sit-in protest under the Municipality, while yesterday morning CGIL, CISL and UIL sent an open letter to Frontini: “Your statements are seriously detrimental to respectability and dignity of municipal employees and to date have not been the subject of necessary, as well as appropriate, denials either by the mayor or by the members of the majority”.

“It is unacceptable for the head of the administration to limit himself to pointing fingers in an accusatory manner, without first having put in place everything necessary to resolve any problems – the unions write -. The interest of a mayor should be to ensure that the entire organizational machinery of the administration travels at the same speed, without imposing a stigma, for various reasons, on those who are in difficulty”.

“We urge the mayor to invest seriously and actively to resolve it with new hires, training and updating, as well as improving work tools – they continue -. We remind the mayor that it is essential and urgent to make the workplaces affected by multiple critical issues safe, suitable and decent, which necessarily have a negative impact on workers, as well as on services; the grotesque story of the municipal headquarters in Piazza Fontana Grande is worth as an example, affected by works impacting the activity and health of the demographic services workers, whose temporary relocation is not the best solution”.
