Perugia, from the verification of the minutes another six votes for Numerini: Cesaro out

Wednesday was not only the day in which the Margherita Scoccia and Vittoria Ferdinandi fronts began to close ranks in view of the run-off elections on 23 and 24 June. The other field on which an important game was being played was that of the electoral commission, in which the operations of verifying the data coming from the polling stations continued, cross-referencing the numbers in the minutes with those communicated.

Checks As usual there are differences which, however, in certain cases, can be decisive when the gaps between two candidates are minimal. One of these concerns the outgoing councilor for public works Otello Numerini, who moved towards the end of his term from Progetto Perugia to FI; 646 preferences for Numerini and the same number for the outgoing councilor Michele Cesaro. However, the cross-referencing of the data revealed another six votes for Numerini: in the event of Ferdinandi’s victory, they would both remain outside the city assembly, while in the event of Scoccia’s success the councilor would enter; at that point Cesaro would be the first of the non-elected, and would be brought back into the chamber in the event of Numerini’s appointment to the council.
