CAMPOBASSO – Historical passions, the cars that made Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and many other brands protagonists on Sunday 16 June for a day dedicated to passion for this sector and for the tourism promotion of the Molise region.
In fact, the anticipation is growing for the first “Historical Passions” rally which will see the cars that made history in the 60s and 70s parade on the streets of the province of Isernia on Sunday 16 June.
An ambitious project, which brings together vintage car enthusiasts from Campania, Lazio, Puglia and Molise, organized by the “Pista Paradiso” Kartodromo of Santa Maria del Molise and strongly supported by the “San Nicandro” Festival Committee of Venafro for the start of the celebrations in the city.
The event will see unique pieces of Italian and European motoring parade through four stages: at 9.30 in Venafro, with a stop on the central Corso Campano, accompanied by the group of flag-wavers and the musical band in baroque style clothes, with the cutting of the ribbon at work of the mayor Alfredo Ricci; at 11.30 in Isernia, on Corso Garibaldi where the mayor Pietro Castrataro and the president of the Province of Isernia, Daniele Saia, will welcome the participants; at 12.40 at the Basilica of Castelpetroso for the blessing that will be given by the rector of the Sanctuary; the arrival at 1.30 pm on the Santa Maria del Molise circuit for lunch and the awarding of four special prizes to the participants.
“We wanted to organize this first gathering to raise awareness of the beauties of our region” – say the satisfied organisers, Addolorato Cicchino, Domenico Bertoni and Luciano Matteo – in recent weeks we have seen enormous interest from enthusiasts also from outside the region, and we are ready to welcome drivers and lovers of this sector on the roads of the province of Isernia. A dutiful thank you goes to all the institutions that supported us, and in particular to the Venafro Festival Committee which embraced our project from the first minute, including the event in the calendar of celebrations. We are certain it will be a beautiful day of sport and passion for these splendid cars.”
At 3 pm the Santa Maria del Molise circuit, which is also the only Federal Technical Center of Aci Sport in Molise, will host a karting race for children aged 8 to 12 who have obtained the competitive license at the Federal School of Paradise track.
