With a practical quail hunting competition, the fourth Etna Federcaccia Catania Trophy was held at the ZAC “Lo Sparviero” in Ramacca. Various enthusiasts belonging to the hunting world from different parts of Sicily met on the competition fields last Sunday 9 June starting from 6.00 am.

Doing the honors was Nello Di Bella, Provincial President of Federcaccia Catania, supported by Giuseppe Scandurra, Director of Sports Activities of Federcaccia Provinciale Catania and by Rebecca D’Antoni, Regional Contact for the Federcaccia Hunting Coordination.

An intense and exciting day for all the participants who welcomed the event. Those who got on the podium were: for field “A” Motta Giuseppe, 1st place; Nicolosi Antonino, 2nd place; Found Stefano 3rd place. For field “B” Di Prima Federico ranked in 1st place; in 2nd place Pappalardo Carmelo and in 3rd place Longo Vito. Federico Di Prima placed 1st at the Barrage.

On the occasion of this day, the FIdC Provincial Section of Catania reserved a moment for children, budding dog lovers, the majority of whom are children of the participants in the race. The moment dedicated to them was a mini-trial without killing wild animals where ten children, aged between 6 and 15, led their auxiliaries. The mini-test was evaluated by Rosario Pavone, aspiring FIdC Federal Judge. With gadgets made available by the National Coordination of Federcaccia Huntresses and the FIDC Provincial Section of Catania, the Regional Representative of the Federcaccia Huntresses, Rebecca D’Antoni, rewarded all the children.
