Although for some years now we have been aiming to propose pairings with wine, pizza and beer remains one of the gastronomic weddings most appreciated by Italians. The union will be strengthened next weekend (14-16 June) in Vicenza when it goes on stage Pizza in the Squarea contemporary pizza festival that will feature the creations of nine renowned Venetian pizza chefs the special participation of KrombacherGermany’s largest private brewery.
The theater of the event will be the elegant one Piazza dei Signori of Vicenza. The festival, now in its second edition, will be organized byAENP (Association of Excellence in Pizza) an organization that since 2019 has been training professionals who want to aim for high quality, both in leavening and processing techniques and in the choice of ingredients. “Pizza in Piazza represents a unique opportunity to raise awareness the quality of our German beers alongside the best creations of the Venetian universe of gourmet pizza”, he says Davide Grossi, Country Director of Krombacher Italia. “Events like this allow us to strengthen ours connection with the world of haute cuisinea sector to which we feel particularly attached thanks to the shared search for first choice ingredients”.

In addition to tastings, however, the festival will also be animated by some meetings: ai interactive workshops (even for the little ones) and at guided tastings will add a talk in which some of the most prestigious Italian square masters will participate: Enzo Coccia (From Michele, Naples), Luca Pezzetta (Clementina, Rome) e Renato Bosco (Renato Bosco Pizzeria, San Martino Buon Albergo), together with the chef Matteo Grandi (Grandi in Basilica, Vicenza) will meet on Sunday 16 June, at 4pm, at the Loggia del Capitaniato to discuss styles, false myths and future trends, but also to delve deeper into the topic of pairing with beer.
