The extraordinary commissioner ofPort System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea, Paolo Piacenzainvestigated for abuse of office in the context of the maxi investigation into bribery and corruption that has engulfed the Liguria regionleading to the arrests of, among others, the president Giovanni Totiof the former president of Porto, Paolo Emilio Signoriniand the entrepreneur Aldo Spinelliresigned from his position in the last few hours.
The lawyer Paolo Piacenza agreed with the Ministry of Transport his resignation from the role of extraordinary commissioner of the Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea. Paolo Piacenza therefore returns to the role of general secretary of the institution to support the newly appointed Extraordinary Commissioner, Admiral Massimo Seno.
“My priority – stated Paolo Piacenza – is to guarantee maximum serenity to the institution and to the entire port system with respect to the assumption of the next strategic choices and decisions as well as the consequent administrative acts in such a crucial moment for the ports of Genoa and Savona. With the spirit of service that has always characterized my work, as general secretary I will guarantee active collaboration and support from the structure to the newly appointed commissioner for a further acceleration of the completion of the strategic infrastructures underway in our port system”.

Former commander of the Port Authority of La Spezia from 2017 to 2019, today he is head of the 2nd Legal Affairs and Institute Services Department at the General Command of the Port Authorities.
