Last night, agents of the State Police and soldiers of the Carabinieri arrested a man, responsible for the crimes of insult, injury, violence and threat to a public official.

In detail, police officers and soldiers of the Carabinieri, free from duty, while returning home from an evening spent in company in a restaurant, found themselves inside the car park in via Gherardacci, in front of their cars, a man in obvious state of psychophysical agitation that began, for no apparent reason, to hit the bonnet of one of the aforementioned police officers’ cars with his hands.

After having qualified and invited the man to remain calm and clear the road to prevent the blocking of the transit of cars, they found themselves faced with a crescendo of aggression from the subject who shouted, railed against them, threatened them and managed to hit one in the face. of the military.

At this point the man was immediately blocked and made safe, before being transported to the Provincial Headquarters of the Carabinieri in Prato.

During the accompaniment phases to the Command, the subject continued to kick, damaging the service car and uttering insulting and threatening phrases which continued even inside the barracks.

The subject, identified as a 29-year-old man of Romanian nationality with a police record for similar crimes, was arrested and on the orders of the competent AG placed under house arrest, awaiting the very direct trial scheduled for today.
