Good news for Carpi sport arrives in the final rush of the legislature. The final act of the Bellelli Council has in fact given the green light to the project for the restoration of the Gallesi gym submitted by Mondial Quartirolo and signed by the surveyor Stefano Gombia of the Spazio Libera Design studio. A work that has been awaited for over a year and a half and which will give the city back a central gym not only for the volleyball activities of the club in via Ugo da Carpi – which has taken on the financial and technical costs of the works in exchange for a management assignment tenth anniversary of the system – but also for the schools of some city institutes.

Mondial’s objective is in fact to finish the works in order to be able to reopen the doors of the gym in September, when with the start of the new school year the city will have a great hunger for gym spaces given the closure of Meucci.
With the definitive approval of the project by the Municipality, the ball is now in Mondial’s court, which has already started work at least on the preparation and clearance of the premises. The next steps will concern making the property safe and adapting to fire regulations. Then the boiler will be replaced, while externally Mondial’s idea is to take advantage of the reclamation works to paint the building white and blue.

From the financial scheme approved during the project phase, the first tranche of the works will consist of 93 thousand euros of work, all paid by the sports club. Which obviously already has a financial plan to cover the costs but which is still open to sponsorships, partnerships and is also working on a crowd funding operation. To give back to Carpi a gym that represents a piece of history of the city’s sport.
