The continuous activity to combat the abandonment of waste in public areas and spaces has led, at the end of an investigation carried out by the Local Police, to the identification of a person responsible.
The municipal administration of Guidonia Montecelio announced this in a note.
In fact, through camera traps, the men directed by Commander Paolo Rossi traced the owner of the vehicle from which, in recent days, car seats and a bag containing unsorted waste had been abandoned in the Tor Mastorta area,
The investigations promptly launched by the staff of the Road Safety and Accident Service, through the examination of the images, made it possible to ascertain that the owner of the vehicle, not resident in the municipality of Guidonia Montecelio, was the owner of over 50 vehicles.
Following the observation activity carried out by the officers, on Thursday 6 June, another man was stopped in via Casal Bianco aboard the same vehicle and, after checks carried out, he was found to be without personal documents, a driving license and an insurance policy.
We proceeded to identify him, file a criminal complaint pursuant to the Consolidated Environmental Law and contest the other sanctions, as well as seizing the vehicle.
The owner was also prosecuted for the crime of fictitious registration of motor vehicles.
“I congratulate the activity carried out by the Local Police personnel – declares the mayor Mauro Lombardo -. We are trying, as the municipal administration, to pay maximum attention to the action of preventing and combating the abandonment of waste in public areas and spaces.
This activity will be increasingly accompanied by the identification of those who, despite using the services, are not resident in our city, by cross-referencing the data in our possession. Families and individuals who, therefore, also evade the waste tax”.
