Arte in Festa kicks off in Bari, a free initiative open to citizens that will be held on Friday 14 June from 5pm to 9.30pm in the spaces of the Officina degli Esordi in via Francesco Crispi 5, organized by a group of young people aged between 15 and 17 years as part of the Educazione in Corso project, created by CIAI with funding from the European Union – Next Generation EU-PNRR.
This day of celebration represents a special opportunity to offer spaces of expression to young people in the area and to learn about the results of the work carried out by the young participants in the Semi di cultura campus, a project action managed by Bass Culture. In fact, during the months of May and June, the boys and girls participated in various training activities, aimed at non-formal learning and experimentation with social innovation practices, in areas such as communication, creative reuse, videomapping, technical sound and DJing, led by industry experts. From this shared journey of knowledge, the Arte in festa event was born, a great moment of sharing art in all its forms, in which each participant will be able to measure themselves with the skills developed in the field and interact with the public.
Various activities are planned. The party opens at 5pm with the presentation of the creative works created by the boys and girls of the CIAI Educational Unit and the partner schools. After this first part at 7.00 pm we get to the heart of the party with a visit to the exhibition area where the photographic exhibition “Analogica-mente” will be set up with instant photos taken by the participants during the “Seeds of culture” workshop ” and the photographic exhibition of the IP Santarella De Lilla.
To enliven this path of exploration, the DJ set by the boys and girls and the live painting “Stampatello” in which recycled materials will be used to create an installation in progress.
Followed by the “Abstr-action” videomapping created during the videomapping process and then starting from 8.30 pm there will be space for live music with the live performance of the “Zenra” group, jam sessions and shared dances.
In closing, everyone on the terrace to conclude in music with the final DJ set.
The Educazione in Corso project is carried out by CIAI, financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU-PNRR, with the collaboration of public and private bodies and the common objective of combating educational poverty through an educational model open to the territory.
With Educazione in Corso we want to draw attention to the importance of building a training and educational path that expands beyond the walls of the school and can trigger the transformation of the city’s streets and streets, from simple mobility tools to functional places for growth, protagonism and the development of a sense of belonging to the community.
The actions will contribute to reducing and preventing school dropouts and the NEET phenomenon, activating useful paths to acquire cognitive and non-cognitive skills and facilitate entry into the world of work. The partnership sees the lead body CIAI – Italian Center for Children’s Aid – in network with the public bodies IC Garibaldi, IP Santarella De Lilla, IISS Marconi Hack and Municipality of Bari, the private social bodies Cinemovel Foundation, Cnipa Puglia, Faber city – Alberobello community cooperative, Snam Foundation and the Bass Culture company.
