“Happiness can’t be bought but a ticket to MotorPlay can!” With this motto, the organizer Iader Giraldi, Dakarian motorcyclist and creator of the first edition of MotorPlay, reiterates the main role of this event, the only one of its kind in Italy: a three-day playground for all motorcyclists who want to have fun and improve their skills and abilitiessafely experimenting with different motorcycling disciplines.
Iader Giraldi: “Last year in two days we made over 600 motorcyclists and an audience of around 4000 people happy in all the daily and evening events. This year we are ready to triple these numbers with an event designed to entertain all its participants.”
“The event, which was born from the collaboration of the territories of Imola and Faenza, it will take place on 13-14-15 September in Faenza and will give thousands of motorcyclists the opportunity to have fun inside 6 training areas with different difficulties and disciplines: enduro, hard enduro, adventuring, trial, scooter cross, moped, a circular route traced in RoadBook of approximately 20km with a passage to Park 04 in Dovizioso, 30 hours of workshops and conferences, a road tour in the first hills to discover some wonders cultural and food and wine of the Romagna area” explain the organizers.
The location will be in Faenza, in the Graziola area, on a farm of almost 100 hectares made available by a technical partner with the patronage of the Municipality of Faenza and the support of Terre & Motori.
Andrea Fabbri, deputy mayor of Faenza, declared: “Motorsport in Faenza is not only a shared passion for many citizens but it is a real industry that sees the uniqueness of our city with an F1 team, a Moto GP team, the FMI national training center on offroad at Park04 which will soon create a large tourism industry and one of the most important carbon production chains for motorcycles and cars. And it is precisely in tourism and its related activities that we must invest starting from an event that every year can celebrate the champions as well as the enthusiasts who will increasingly be able to find a place of celebration and hospitality in Faenza”.
Various special events are scheduled during the three days: the return of a national scooter cross race in Italy after about 20 years, an evening show in the square dedicated to Fabrizio Meoni with the presentation of the most important Italian crews, motorcycles, cars and trucks that will participate in the Dakar 2025, the first dedicated MotorPlay Trophy to off-road electric motorbikes, the national Honda Cub rally, the great RallyPov Bivouac Italia and above all an exhibition of Dakar motorbikes, cars and trucks that can rarely be seen in action.
“Added to this will be the possibility of staying overnight with your motorbike and tent in a bivouac dedicated to motorcyclists, the presence of various motorcycling schools where you can test your skills, ride tests, track food, food and wine tours on motorbikes organized by the Motoclubs of Faenza and above all a family friendly event with the possibility of camping with campers and activities for adults and children” conclude the organizers.
