A digital exhibition which, hosted in the museum space completely reconfigured for the occasion, explores Truffaut’s cinema and the female world that runs through his entire work. The exhibition, with free entry, will remain on the program until August 10th, only in the evening.

The exhibition is a paradise of female beauty, as Fellini (The City of Women), an author adored by Truffaut, would have wanted: a spring anthology of legs, a large bouquet of ‘compass’, young, straight, well-shaped.

On the 40th anniversary of Truffaut’s death (21 October 2024), the exhibition is a long parable: punctuated in his films by as many seductive parables of female charm. Compasses, those of Bernadette Lafont, in the first accessible short film, Les Mistons, compasses those of Fanny Ardant, her last great love, in Vivement dimanche! The exhibition retraces Truffaut’s entire cinema, setting in motion, with frames and a series of still images, the legs of his female firmament, from Catherine Deneuve to Jeanne Moreau, from Isabelle Adjani to Françoise Dorléac.

During the evening, the exhibition catalogue, I compassi del mondo, published by Cronopio Editore, will also be presented.
