Although the bad weather did not confirm the power of Monday evening, the rain continues to cause damage in Udine: yesterday evening, in fact, it was a tree fell in the central Piazzetta Belloni. It’s a pine tree. Fortunately, no one was injured, but transit was also partially blocked to check the static of the other tree present.

The Municipality has issued updates on the situation: the Dal Dan plant still remains closed, as is like Brun Park where several trees gave way, falling on the fence of the nearby nursery school. Also fallen trees inside the Pick Nursery school, the garden is unusable by children. Also the climb to the Castle from Piazza Primo Maggio is still closed.

The offices continue to monitor the situation also because the weather conditions are not improving: The the ground is in fact soaked in water and with strong gusts of wind there is the risk that other trees could collapse. However, the Remembrance Park was reopened and the collapsed cedar and spruce trees were removed. The Benedetti and the Palamostre have been reopened while the work of the municipal technical offices continues with the help of the Local Police and Civil Protection.
