Medicine and territory, the new right to health is the theme of the UDC conference which will be held on Thursday 13 June at the Latina city club.
“The meeting – explains Emiliano Licata, municipal councilor in Latina and head of the health department of the general practitioner party – aims to put a magnifying glass on the issues of health management, an essential point of the State’s action towards the citizen, health is a constitutional good, universal healthcare is a great civil and social achievement, however we must make the system more efficient and we will talk about this in the conference in which local medicine and hospital provision, together, can give more efficient responses and optimize the resources that are there. Ours is a network model that supports hospital excellence.
We are – continues Licata – aware of the difficulty Goretti faces in acting not with dreams of futuristic perfection but managing the territorial system we have in the best possible way. The demand for healthcare is becoming increasingly greater due to the aging of the population and the availability of new technologies. We – continues Licata – as a party want to address these issues, make them become the basis of political debate in order to give concrete answers to people and improve the working conditions of healthcare personnel”
The meeting will be opened by greetings from Alessandro Paletta, provincial coordinator of the UDC, and from city councilor Nicola Catani.
Speakers: Giuseppina Carreca, District Director 2 of Latina ASL; Vincenzo Lucarini, director of 3 ASL Latina districts; Ginevra Giannantonio, pharmacist; Lorenzo Munari, president of the Latin Red Cross; Filippo Fardellone, UDC national social policy manager. Maurizio Galardo, provincial president of the party, will conclude the proceedings
