The menu that will be served to the world leaders who will meet in Brindisi for the G7 meeting is a tribute to Puglia. The four-course dinner, based on fish, in which the heads of state and government and the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella will participate, on the evening of 13 June in the Swabian castle, will be accompanied by the tasting of local wines, including that produced in the “Li Reni” farm in Manduria, that of Bruno Vespaoften a destination for politicians and prominent figures on the national scene.
The wine list, therefore, includes the production of the host of “Porta a Porta” who chose to invest in Puglia, stimulated by his friend internationally renowned winemaker Riccardo Cotarella with whom he shares the challenge of exalting native wines. An important business card for Vespa production, already included in the wine list of Frecciarossa trains.
The menu, as mentioned, will be based on fish and vegetables and will use typical local materials. Diners will sit at the table for about 45 minutes and will be able to enjoy dishes with hints of aromatic herbs and garden products, accompanied by wines produced in Puglia.
