European elections, Crosetto thunders against the chaos of polling stations in Rome: “Shameful and impossible to explain”

Chaos continues regarding the votes in the European elections in Rome. The insertion of the data relating to the list votes ended at 3.45pm yesterday and the data of 2,521 sections out of the total of 2,599 have been inserted as there are 78 minutes with manifestly inconsistent data which will therefore be closed to zero and which will then will be subject to a subsequent recount by the judicial authority. Guido Crosetto, founder of Fratelli d’Italia and defense minister of the Meloni government, was the one to comment on this situation: “Italy is the only nation in Europe that has not yet concluded the counting operations for the European elections and that therefore it has not yet identified the number of parliamentarians elected for each political force. All thanks to the blocking of some sections of Rome which appears to be due to a problem with the city’s computer system. Now, following the decision of the presidents of the polling stations, 78 sections have ended up in Court. Officials directly from the Ministry of the Interior had to intervene in 82 sections. The fact is that we will not have the definitive results due to the disorganization of a municipality. One thing – Crosetto’s attack via social media – is shameful and impossible to explain to the world.”
