FANO, 11 JUNE – The centre-right conquers Fano (Pesaro Urbino) with Luca Serfilippi, regional councilor of the League, who obtains 50.55% of the votes, prevailing in the first round over the centre-left divided between Cristian Fanesi (30.03%), supported by a coalition of forces including the Democratic Party, and Stefano Marchegiani (19.42%), supported by other left-wing forces and the 5 Star Movement. The city had been led from the centre-left by Massimo Seri who ran for the European elections with Action but was not elected. Again in the province of Pesaro Urbino, the elections establish the continuity of the center-left at the helm of the city with the dem Andrea Biancani, vice president of the Regional Council, who succeeds Matteo Ricci new MEP of the Democratic Party, obtaining 60.60% of the votes. Beaten Marco Lanzi (centre-right, 35.19%). While in Urbino it will be a hotly contested run-off between the outgoing mayor Maurizio Gambini, supported by the centre-right, who also exceeded 50% during the count, then falling back to 47.96%, and the centre-left candidate Federico Scaramucci who arrived at 44.73 %. In the provincial co-capital (together with Pesaro), where the outgoing mayor is seeking a third mandate as a city with under 15 thousand inhabitants, there is in fact a third force, that of the Futura civic list headed by Maria Francesca Crespini, which he obtained 7.3% of the votes: a reservoir of votes that the other two challengers will now compete for in the runoff. Another runoff in Osimo between the centre-left candidate Michela Glorio (40.09%) and Francesco Pirani (34.90%), supported by a centre-right coalition including among others the Brothers of Italy and a UDC list linked to the Prime Minister regional Dino Latini. In the competition the centre-right was divided between Pirani and Sergio Antonelli (25.01%), the latter supported by other forces including Lega and Forza Italia.
