Accused of attempted extortion for the land on which Mater Olbia was built, the entrepreneur from Codrongianos, Alessandro Marini he was sentenced to two years in prison. Pier Luigi Bardanzellu, presented as a partner, was acquitted “for not having committed the crime”. The sentence was issued in the afternoon by the judge of the Tempio Court Caterina Interlandi.

As will be remembered, Marini claimed ownership of the land and had tried to negotiate by entering into the deal between the owners of Mater Olbia and Monte Tabor, claiming to have purchased the adverse possession rights from the shepherd Luigi Mulas to whom Don Verzè had entrusted the control of the large land plot in the “Chentu accas” area where, in fact, the San Raffaele stood.

Marini was then accused of attempted extortion against the former mayor of Olbia Gianni Giovannellifrom the Sardinia Healthcare and Research Properties srl, owner of Mater Olbia, and of the judicial administration of Mount Tabor Foundation (formerly San Raffaele). Marini’s action, following the complaint presented by the mayor at the time, Gianni Giovannelli, was blocked by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The court accepted the arguments of the civil parties represented by the lawyers Angelo Merlinifor Sardinia Healthcare and Research Properties, e Agostinangelo Marrasfor the Monte Tabor Foundation.
