SCANDIANO (Reggio Emilia) – From September 2021 to July 2022 he extorted over 110 thousand euros from a person with a disability, doing so through death threats and scams. The exhausted victim turned to the police who, at the end of the investigation, arrested the craftsman and caught him in the act of committing a crime after reaching an agreement with the disabled person.

Following the trial process, the man was sentenced in 2023 by the Reggio Emilia Gup to 3 years, 11 months and 24 days in prison and a fine of 1,778 euros. The sentence was confirmed at the beginning of 2024 by the Court of Appeal of Bologna and became enforceable on 4 June. Therefore, the military took him from his home, where he was under house arrest, and took him to prison in Reggio Emilia.
