“These last two matches might have seemed simpler on paper than the ones against Parma and Fermo, but in reality they both hid pitfalls. Pordenone was a team recently at the top of the national competitions, it was really tough, we started badly with the first set and then we recovered in the following matches, but it wasn’t enough and Alta Resa, who has an excellent reception, held on to practically every ball, so yesterday’s Derby saw us a little more tense we told ourselves that we had to start strong straight away and not give anything away, the opponent is very respectable and we couldn’t risk letting them go ahead. We fought point for point, taking home the first 2 sets, then in the third we lost one moment to go and as expected the opponent took advantage of it. In the fourth we pushed again, thus winning the second Derby in our history”, the point of captain Orazio Tallarita elected MVP of the match and awarded by Max Padovan of Studio Arcom.

On the proclamation Tallarita added: “I asked my teammates for maximum commitment and they did; personally I have always been served in the best possible way and put in a position to score points. A positive result achieved thanks to all the contribution of the team. I am very proud of this recognition, winning it at home in front of your audience and above all in front of my partner and my son, for the first time in the stands, has a special flavour.”
