Meloni the most voted in Livorno

Fratelli d’Italia is the winning party of the European elections 2024 in Italy. In fact, Giorgia Meloni’s party obtained, when 61,328 out of 61,650 were counted, 28.8% of the preferences followed by the PD with 24.07%. All the others are very far behind: M5S at 10%, Forza Italia at 9.63%, Lega at 9% and Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra 6.71%.

The national data, however, does not reflect what happened in Livorno where the Democratic Party was the most voted, reaching 36.32%. In the city, 26,043 voters chose the Dems while the second force was the Brothers of Italy with 20.87% (14,965 votes). Followed by the 5 Star Movement (12.33%) and the Green Left Alliance (8.74%).

But who were the most voted candidates in Livorno? Well, despite the PD being the first party, the person who received the highest number of preferences was Giorgia Meloni (FDI) followed by Elly Schlein (PD), Dario Nardella (PD) and Roberto Vannacci (Lega). Below is the ranking of the top ten “places”:

  1. Giorgia Meloni 4,062 votes;
  2. Elly Schlein 2,074 votes;
  3. Dario Nardella 1,525;
  4. Roberto Vannacci 1,507 votes;
  5. Matteo Renzi (United States of Europe) 815
  6. Nicola Zingaretti (PD) 795 votes;
  7. Michele Santoro (Peace, Earth and Dignity) 687 votes;
  8. Antonio Tajani (Forza Italia) 454 votes;
  9. Susanna Ceccardi (Lega) 439 votes;
  10. Antonio Mazzeo (PD) 424 votes.

The only two Livorno citizens present in these elections, Stefano Bandecchi and Costanza Vaccaro (People’s Alternative) received 119 and 101 votes respectively.
