Catania in about a month will leave for Umbria, direction Assisi, to support the 2024/25 pre-season training camp. Withdrawal preceded by medical visits in Catania, then the group will leave Sicily to prepare the new adventure in Serie C with the new technical staff. It promises to be an important month of work for the red and blue club, currently busy for the definition of the technical structure with the appointment of the new coach and collaborators who will be part of the staff.
In the meantime, as mentioned on several occasions, the club is vigilant on the transfer market having already started a series of contacts with agents with a view to placing some members of the current squad elsewhere and finding the first players deemed functional to the Rossazzurro football project. Focus, therefore, on other contract renewals after having reached the agreement in recent weeks for the extension of the respective agreements with Alessio Castellini and Marco Chiarella, also laying the foundations for extending the contracts of Klavs Bethers and Alessandro Quaini.
It will have to be elaborated later the work plan in Assisi which also includes the organization of friendlies of a higher level than last season in which, for logistical reasons, it was a problem to identify opponents of a certain weight and even just to schedule joint training sessions. The work on the field and the friendly matches will be an indispensable tool to test the growth of the group in view of the first official Frecciarossa Italian Cup match which will be held in August. On the corporate front there is excitement, then, as far as it concerns the inclusion of new professional figures in the Board of Directors of which Mark Bresciano and Vincenzo Grella continue to be part.
