The VIII edition of the cultural festival continues in Andria which, with ironic implications, celebrates the transformative power of desperation. Also tomorrow and until Sunday 16 June a rich calendar of events at the Episcopal Seminary
ANDRIA, 10 June – The fifth day of the Festival of Despair starts tomorrow, Tuesday 11 June 2024, at the Episcopal Seminary of Andria: three unmissable shows with the author are on the calendar Antonio Pascalethe writing couple Ilaria Gaspari And Guido Vitiello and the journalist Saverio Tommasi. Organized by the Andria Readers’ Club and with the artistic direction by Gigi Brandonisio, this year the festival chooses the theme “How do you make mistakes”, to celebrate error in all its forms and potential for rebirth; will continue until June 16th.
TUESDAY APPOINTMENTS
The television and theater essayist and author Antonio Pascale will open the dance Tuesday 11 June with his original praise of pessimism. By imagining building an oasis, the writer will lead us to discover all the potential of the feeling that characterizes the most resigned, but which can also help us to better understand the value of time, love and compassion (the appointment is at 7.00pm).
Next, it will be the writer’s turn Ilaria Gaspari and of the essayist and professor Guido Vitiello, a couple in life and for the first time also on stage, who will drag the spectators into a lively and engaging dialogue telling “their” Proust. Through careful and passionate analysis, the two will offer a unique perspective on the power of narrative and its ability to shape our relationship with time and memory (8.15 pm).
Finally, the journalist will close the evening Saverio Tommasi, with his show “Fuoco alle Polveri”, an engaging narrative experience that explores the theme of resistance and change through stories of kind revolutionaries (9.30 pm).
