PISTOIA – As the counting of the ballot papers draws to a close, for the Municipal Union of the Democratic Party it is time, with data in hand, to take stock.
The outcome of these European elections is extremely positive for the Democratic Party: in the Municipality of Pistoia the PD is the leading party, 6 points behind the Brothers of Italy. It goes over 30% and exceeds the national figure by 7 points.
“The good work we are doing in the area – comments the municipal secretary Walter Tripi – is bearing fruit. Through everyone’s commitment, we are rebuilding our proposal and our presence. This result represents an excellent point of restart and relaunch in view of the next electoral deadlines: the objective of taking back the Municipality is getting closer”.
In the Democratic Party there is great satisfaction with the national result, which exceeded the expectations of the day before.
“The negative figure – continues Tripi – remains that of abstentionism. For our part, we will continue to work to give greater credibility to politics, as well as to offer concrete answers to citizens. Finally, a dutiful thank you to all the volunteers, members, voters and the council group: this great result is the demonstration that commitment and dedication pay off”.
