With the European vote coming to an end, the “geography” of the vote, which is confirmed in line with what has already been seen in other elections. If Brothers of Italy, at a national level, was the preferred party by a large majority, in the Italian metropolises the results were somewhat different. The big cities continue to vote Dem, with the exception of Rome, where Fratelli d’Italia surpasses the other forces, and Naples, where the 5 Star Movement is at the top. This is a trend that is also reflected in Europe, where the parties of the socialist area in the big cities attract greater support. This also happened in Paris, where Emmanuel Macron’s party won the largest number of votes, despite the sensational debacle suffered in the country.

TO Rome, Fratelli d’Italia exceeds 29.1% of the preferences, leading the Democratic Party which is stuck at 27.5%. The exploit of the Green-Left Alliance is also confirmed, which in the capital conquers 11% of the preferences and surpasses the 5 Star Movement, which does not exceed 10.5%. Further behind are Forza Italia and Azione, with 4.5%, and Lega and the United States of Europe with 4.2%. TO Milan the Democratic Party was the most voted party in these European elections, with 31.38% of the preferences. Behind is Fratelli d’Italia, with 21.73%. Avs in the Lombardy capital reached 10.5% while Forza Italia reached 8.9%. Action reaches 6.5% of the preferences, the United States of Europe 6.4%, the League 6.1%. The 5 Star Movement is further behind, with 5.3% of the preferences out of the total number of eligible voters in Milan.

Turin, who was also going to vote to renew the regional council, confirmed his vote for the Democratic Party with 29.8% of the overall preferences. In the Savoy capital, in fact, it is Schlein’s party that expresses the majority in the city council with the mayor Stefano Lo Russo, while the governor of Forza Italia, Alberto Cirio, will remain firmly established in the Region for another legislature. Fratelli d’Italia confirms itself as the second party in the city with 22% of the votes, while behind it Avs with 11.7% surpasses the M5s which stops at 8.9%. Forza Italia won 8.2% of the votes and the League 5.7%. Further behind are the United States of Europe with 5.2% and Action with 4.2%. TO Naples, after a head to head, the Democratic Party wins with 26.7% of the preferences, while the M5S does not exceed 26.6%. Fratelli d’Italia, however, reaches 13.2% and Avs 12.7%. Fratelli d’Italia obtained 6.6%, the United States of Europe 4.2% and the League 3.2%. Share further behind with 3.1%.

TO PalermoHowever, the Brothers of Italy are in the lead, with 23.9% of the total preferences, which surpasses the 5 Star Movement which does not exceed 19.5. Fratelli d’Italia is immediately behind with 19.2%, ahead of the Democratic Party which, however, does not go beyond 15.2%. The Green-Left Alliance stopped at 6.2%, while the League at 5%. In Palermo, Cateno De Luca’s group gained 4%, more than the United States of Europe, which remained at 2.6%. Azione, who garnered 2% of the votes, obtained just under Michele Santoro.

Bologna it once again confirms itself as a stronghold for the Democratic Party, which in this round obtained 41.1% of the preferences. Fratelli d’Italia is satisfied with 20.3% of the total preferences. The Green-Left Alliance reaches 12.4% and the 5 Star Movement 6.8%. Forza Italia obtained 4.2% of the overall votes and the League 3.3%.
