AND’ Luca Conti, born in 2000 the second new addition to Vanoli Cremona for the 2024/2025 season is leaving Dolomiti Energia Trentino.
Born in Trento on 20 December 2000, Luca is a 197 centimeter winger weighing 84 kilograms: “I am ready and excited to get involved in a new reality: it’s nice and stimulating to meet new people in an important place like Cremona”
Raised in the youth teams of L’Aquila Basket Trento, made his debut in Serie A in the 2016/2017 season. The following year he continued his growth path, in the first team, at Dolomiti Energia and then moved, in 2018/2019, to Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro. The following year he was with Poderosa Pallacanestro Montegranaro, in Serie A2, before returning home the following season. His return to Trento saw him increase his playing time on the pitch over the following three years, contributing to the team’s results in both the championship and the Eurocup.
He still plays the 2023/2024 championship wearing the shirt of his hometown team. Now the transfer to Vanoli Cremona.
There are in his journey also appearances with the national team. In the blue jersey he played in the European category both with the under 16 selection, where he stood out with 15 points and almost 8 rebounds on average, and with the under 18 selection.
“I’m very happy; I spoke with coach Cavina, he told me his expectations and objectives for the season. I will give my best to help the team and I hope to make an important contribution thanks to the work with the staff.”
Conti had announced his decision to leave Trento by entrusting his farewell to social media: “He started wearing our colors from an early age, in the first team he played 173 official matches, 386 points scored, 295 rebounds captured and all the energy of a true #WeDieHard”, in the season just ended he had found little space with coach Galbiati, with 8.6 minutes per game, hence probably the decision to throw himself into a new adventure.
