From Monday Santa Croce with the Compagnia del Buco will host a construction and juggling practice workshop. Tuesday the Arci Cinemobile at Villa Sesso with “Yesterday”
REGGIO EMILIA – A new week of circus, cinema and creativity for Popular summer, the program of one hundred open-air initiatives that from June to September animates 14 neighborhoods of Reggio Emilia, promoted by Acer and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia – Housing Department, with the support of Iren. From Monday 10 June (5.30 pm) the Circus under the home of Compagnia del Buco returns to the Tasso park (in via Adua 53 behind the Santa Croce Library). The very popular circus arts workshops, in addition to teaching the fundamentals of juggling, acrobatics and clowning, this year with the Circus in the pipeline will offer young students the opportunity not only to practice but to build their own circus tools with recycled materials. The other workshop appointments are Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th June, always at 5.30pm.
Tuesday 11 June (9.15 pm) the Arci Reggio Emilia Cinemobile restarts, the traveling van theater that becomes a compact and completely self-powered microcinema, with screen, speakers and even popcorn. Appointment at the Villa Sesso sports club with the screening of “Yesterday”, a musical film by Danny Boyle with Himesh Patel and the participation of Ed Sheeran, who plays himself. At the center of everything, as the title suggests, is the music of the Beatles: an aspiring singer-songwriter is overwhelmed by success when he discovers that the band never existed and appropriates their most famous songs. The evening closes the Pop-Up project, supported by the Welfare call from the Manodori Foundation, which during the winter inhabited the condominium rooms and other unconventional spaces in the working-class neighborhoods.
