Democratic Party in the lead with 36.01%, followed by Fratelli d’Italia with 27.34%, then, very far behind, the 5 Star Movement (7.52%), the Green and Left Alliance (6.38%), Forza Italia (5.55%), League (5.27%), United States of Europe (4.71%), Action (2.79%), Peace Earth Dignity (2.58%), Sovereign Popular Democracy (0.93%), Freedom (0.55%) and Popular Alternative (0.35%). These are the results of the European elections in the province of Siena, where 130,923 voters out of 204,278 eligible voters voted (64.09%), with 4,236 invalid ballots, 3,100 blank ballots and 12 contested ballots.
Analyzing the results of the capital Siena instead (turnout at 56.67%, but there was no vote for the municipal elections), the Democratic Party remains the first party with 34.6%, followed by Fratelli d’Italia 26.9%, while Alleanza Verdi and The Left (7.40%) surpasses the M5S (6.21%).
In the fifty sections of the Municipality of Siena, 56.66% of those entitled to vote voted, equal to 24,076 voters. In the municipal area there were 42,492 people entitled to vote, of which 19,761 were males and 22,731 females. 11,454 males (57.96% of eligible voters) and 12,622 females (55.53% of eligible voters) voted. The counting operations began immediately after the polls closed.
