For the European and municipal elections in six municipalities in the Agrigento area less than half of the voters went to the polls. The turnout for the administrative elections at the closing of the polls, at 11pm on Sunday, when the data for all the municipalities were received, stood at 45.41%. 20,018 of the 44,080 eligible voters voted. For the European elections, the turnout in the municipalities of the Agrigento area stopped at 36.57%.

The highest turnout for the municipal elections, 60.14%, was recorded in Caltabellotta. The lowest turnout in Santa Elisabetta: 33.58%. Of the 4,750 people entitled to vote in the Agrigento area, 1,595 citizens went to the polls.

For the European elections in Agrigento, 33.34% of those entitled to vote voted. The highest turnout was that of Campobello di Licata, with 70.29 percent of voters; the lowest turnout was recorded, however, in Sant’Angelo Muxaro with 22.75%.
