In the city affirmation of the Democratic Party which wins 45% of the votes and the current president of the Emilia Romagna region Stefano Bonaccini receives the highest number of preferences (5,563) followed by Giuditta Pini (700). Fratelli d’Italia reaches 23%, 2,014 preferences went to Giorgia Melonifollowed by Stefano Cavedagna with 618.

In Carpi for the European elections the turnout stood at 62.48%. 34,339 voters voted. Emilia-Romagna confirms itself as the region where people vote the most, with a turnout of around 59% in the European elections, but still in a very clear decline, by around eight percentage points, compared to the European elections five years ago. The turnout was higher in the municipalities where the municipal elections were also held. In short, record negative turnout for the European elections: participation was around 49.65%. For the first time, less than 1 in 2 Italians went to vote in the European elections.
