Tomorrow, Tuesday 11 June, at 9pm in Piazza del Popolo in Pesaro, “Safety Love” will be staged, a free entry show that will combine entertainment and themes related to health and safety at work. Ten artists will take turns on stage, each of whom will give voice to one of the principles listed in the Urbino Charter, a decalogue developed by the Rubes Triva National Security Foundation and the “Olympus” Observatory of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, which the aim is to encourage reflection on the protection of the health, safety and well-being of those who work.

The protagonists

On stage, ten artists who, accompanied by the Rossini Symphony Orchestra of Pesaro directed by Maestro Daniele Rossi, will perform to raise awareness among the public present on issues related to the Urbino paper. BigMama, Coma_Cose, Edoardo Bennato, Francesca Barra, Leo Gassmann, Malika Ayane, Neri Marcorè, Noemi, Piero Pelù and Stefano Massini will take turns on stage for an event hosted by Monica Setta. “Safety love” is an evening of music organized on the occasion of the third edition of the International Festival of Health and Safety at Work which will take place in Pesaro from Wednesday to Friday, 12 and 14 June, in Piazza del Popolo. Artistic director of the evening Massimo Bonelli, publisher, record producer, manager and musical consultant. Since 2015 he has been the organizer and artistic director of the Concertone del Primo Maggio in Rome. Music as a tool to raise awareness therefore, as Bonelli himself says. «I believe that it is possible to raise public awareness on issues like this – he explains – this is because artists are playing the role of influencers, so to speak. They are present, they are narrators of our era and music conveyed through technology makes this increasingly possible. Music is now an integral part of our smartphones and this is why artists play a role in popular narratives. Pesaro is the ideal context: quality music and a fundamental message. I have chosen the artists who will perform among those who have civil values to uphold, committed people.”

The seed to be planted

At the center of the evening was a delicate theme which, for Bonelli, must be constantly repeated and reiterated to «plant a seed in people’s consciences. The welfare of workers must be put before profit. Safety at work is an issue of civility.” The one in Pesaro will be a Marche version of the Concertone, even if the organization of the concert by the unions is decidedly more convincing, as Bonelli further explains. «The Concertone is an enormous machine – concludes Bonelli – but there is the analogy of a common value. Rome is a crazy event, an open platform that needs constant attention. We must pay attention to every detail because it is an event that leaves its mark on the narrative of Italian music.” A TV version of the event in Pesaro will also be made, produced by iCompany, which will be broadcast in the late evening on Rai1, Saturday 17 July.
