MASSA CARRARA. The turnout starts to increase again, after the timid start on Saturday. These are the first data on turnout for the European elections from the 261 open polling stations in the province of Massa-Carrara, which at 12pm showed a voter turnout of 22.79% compared to 12.87% on Saturday 8 June at 11pm.

Starting from the two co-capitals, in Massa at 12pm 20.81% of those entitled to vote had gone to vote, increasing the figure compared to 11.38% on Saturday 8 June. In Carrara, however, at 12pm 21.86% of the electorate had gone to the polls, compared to 12.49% the previous day. Still on the coast, in Montignoso the 12pm figure was 20.42%, compared to 11.34% at 11pm on Saturday. Moving on to Lunigiana, where voting is also held in 8 Municipalities for the local elections, thus favoring participation, for example in Pontremoli the turnout at 12pm was 24.47%, compared to 13.84% at 11pm on Saturday. Or in Fivizzano, when at 12 28.09% of voters showed up at the polling station. Definitely higher turnout for the eight Municipalities that went to vote for the administrative elections, which at 12 pm stood overall at around 30.86%: in Casola in Lunigiana 30% of those entitled to vote had voted, in Comano 21.40%, in Filattiera 38.91%, in Fivizzano 26.96%, in Fosdinovo 31.58%, in Licciana Nardi 33.70%, in Podenzana 33.04%, in Tresana 32.12%. Polling stations will remain open today until 11pm, with the next turnout figures to be provided at 7pm.
