Powerboating World Championship: success for the magical trio of Cremona, Calzolari and Zielinski

Nothing new under the sun, or rather, under the hood (88% humidity) of Boretto Po, home of the second stage world powerboat racing circuit. The magical trio composed of Max Cremona, Mattia Calzolari and Marcin Zielinski successfully replicated Jedovnice’s first outing of the season.

F125 – From the gospel according to Mattia Calzolari: “Try to catch me if you are able”. Jokes aside, the driver from Reggio Emilia (prophet in his homeland) was stronger than everything and everyone, completing the first heat without the drift and leaving a void behind him in the remaining two tests. The eternal Sinoracky fought like an old lion, obtaining second place. Good third place for the Englishman Mantripp, a young man to keep an eye on. The prices of Nicolò Darai (Effeci Racing) are rising, while Daniele Ghiraldi, unlucky, can console himself with the pole position on Saturday.

F250 – With Boretto’s three victories, Max Cremona has won 10 heats in a row: a record that is difficult to beat and which could be extended given the superiority of our driver. The Bulgarian Todorov tried to keep up with him, but the gap was clear. Stopping due to mechanical problems in the last race, Todorov lost the second step of the podium, which was taken by the tenacious Wayne Turner. Of note are the surprising and talented Amy Nydal and the very unlucky Pasquale Contento, who overturned while he was third in the first heat.

F500 – Undisputed domination, or almost, of super Marcin Zielinski, who after two stratospheric heats allowed himself to grant a bit of glory to Robert Hencz, who thus rose to second place to the detriment of Marian Jung, author of an amazing comeback in the first run, last to second. And our Giuseppe Rossi? He made a clear recovery, but three “seized” engines excluded him from the fight. The Borettese adventure for Erko Aabrams was inglorious, while Attila Havas showed some signs of awakening. The ranking: Zielinski p.40, Hencz 34, Jung 28.
