European and regional elections: turnout data

At 12pm on Sunday 9 June 2024 the turnout at the polls did not increase, only one in four eligible Turin residents showed up at the polls to vote: the turnout for the European elections was 25.20%, while for the regional was 24.36%. It is impossible to compare the turnout with the previous regional elections in 2019 because at the time voting took place on just one day. At the time, the second survey at 7pm indicated a turnout of 45.63% for the European elections and 44.29% for the regional ones.

Data from the first survey on Saturday 8 June

After the first half day of voting, the first official numbers begin to arrive. The first survey by the Municipality of Turin on voter turnout was released late yesterday evening – Saturday 8 June 2024: for the European elections, 16.38% showed up at the polls; for the regional elections 15.83%. The last electoral round for the European and regional elections took place in a single day and therefore a comparison is not possible. At the first survey at 12 noon in 2019, 15.75% of voters for the European elections and 15.29% of voters for the regional elections appeared to have voted.
