CIVITAVECCHIA – There is concern on the part of workers and users about the cutting of armed security guards at the ASL Roma 4 clinic in via Etruria in the afternoon.
A decision that arrived in March, like a bolt from the blue, which cut the armed security service, which usually covered the entire opening period of the clinic, in the afternoon and evening hours, leaving only one shift, the one that goes from 7 in the morning to 2pm. Until 8pm, no more armed security.
The structure in via Etruria, where cup and Pua are based, is at the “frontier” of social and health services for citizens and the situation is not always very easy. There have been several episodes in which users went berserk and often if the worst was avoided it was thanks to the presence of armed security personnel.
A situation that is so worrying that even the unions and the staff of the facility have written a letter to the management of ASL Roma 4 to highlight fears and doubts linked to the large numbers that the clinic processes every day.
We are talking about 3-400 daily accesses and a total of 60 people, including healthcare and administrative workers, working within the structure. There is concern, as mentioned, and many are calling for the armed afternoon security service to be restored to protect workers, especially in light of the various worrying episodes that have occurred.
