European elections, the turnout at the polls in the Municipality of Piacenza was below 15%, which closed yesterday Saturday 8 June at 11pm. Of the 75,473 citizens in possession of the electoral card (35,862 men, 39,611 women) only 11,166 (14.79% ) were in fact those who went to the polls yesterday to cast their vote. It is impossible to make a comparison with previous elections, as in 2019 there was no vote on Saturday.

The overall figure for the last electoral round recorded an average of 60.64% (45,512 voters out of 75,053 eligible voters). Please remember that today, Sunday 9 June, the polling stations will remain open from 7am to 11pm. The next measurements of the percentage of voter turnout will be at 12pm, 7pm and 11pm (final measurement, after which the counting of voters will begin votes).

Today, from 7am to 11pm, in conjunction with the opening of the polls, gThe Quic branches in Viale Beverora will be available to citizens for the issue of voter cards and identity documents, with extraordinary and extended opening hours to the public. You will be able to contact the operators exclusively for activities related to voting purposes only, it will therefore not be possible to carry out other procedures during the day.

Please remember that the electoral card is the official document with which citizens of the Italian state can vote. It is a personal and permanent document, valid until the spaces provided for stamping as proof of participation in the vote are exhausted (18 in total).

The electoral card must be presented at the polling station together with an identification document: for this reason, before the elections, it is important to check that you have the electoral card and the address shown on it. It is possible to request a duplicate of your electoral card at the Quic in viale Beverora 57 in cases of theft, loss, deterioration of the card, or exhaustion of the spaces provided for affixing the polling station stamp.
